"Retry Now" (Japanese: いますぐ輪廻, Ima Sugu Rinne) is a dark, yandere-themed Vocaloid song by producer NAKISO featuring Hatsune Miku. It explores an endless, murderous cycle of reincarnation where a magical girl repeatedly kills her crush and herself to reset the timeline and find a perfect love story.
Song Lyrics (English)
The music video and lyrics are set up like a horror visual novel.
The Cycle: Miku acts as a magical girl who is hopelessly devoted to her crush/the viewer.
The Resets: Whenever their relationship fails or a timeline goes wrong, she murders her crush and takes her own life to "retry" in a new reincarnation.
Metamorphosis: She uses her magic to remember past timelines, changing her outfits and weapons with every rebirth in her obsessive search for the flawless ending.
The Japanese title Ima Sugu Rinne translates to "Reincarnate Right Now". It leans heavily into Buddhist concepts of Samsara (the cycle of birth, death, and rebirth). The song serves as a terrifying bait-and-switch; it sounds upbeat and poppy, but masks a tragic, obsessive pursuit where she throws away morality and sanity to secure a utopian romance.
